International matchmaking event “EAST LINK: BUSINESS – SCIENCE CO-OPERATION”, 1-2 October 2012

Enterprise Europe Network, hosted by Klaipėda Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Crafts, on 1 October 2010 in Klaipėda is organising a matchmaking event “EastLink 2012: Business-Science Co-operation” for entrepreneurs, start-ups, researchers, inventors, etc. from more than 35 countries.
The matchmaking event is organised in the framework of the conference “EastLink 2012: the way to a knowledge economy”. The international conference will gather East and West innovation experts, researchers, business leaders and policy makers providing them with a great opportunity to contribute to deeper and smooth co-operation between EU and East countries in the field of innovations. The concept of EastLink cooperation is inspired by EU Eastern partnership policy, the EU Central Asia cooperation strategy and the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region. The main goal of “EastLink” is to strengthen links of science, research and business cooperation by applying innovations into practice. Conference website: www.east-link.eu.
Afterwards, individual business meetings and company visits in the Klaipėda region or to the ones established in the Klaipėda Free Economic Zone will be arranged. This matchmaking event is a great opportunity to establish new contacts with potential partners and engage in business, project, and product or service development within a knowledge-based economy related to the use of knowledge technologies in production and management.
Priority sectors are R&D; Transport & Logistics; Renewable and Clean Energy; Eco-innovation; Production & Services.
